OBW book?
#1
I give up, I want to learn how to do the OBW :D
I'm planning on starting with a 4-patch posy quilt, but want to get a book on the OBW. Is this a good one?
http://www.amazon.com/One-Block-Wond...6001459&sr=8-1
If not, could you recommend an alternate book? Is it worth the $20 (price plus shipping)?
Thanks!

For doing the 4 patch, I recommend the stack n wack ipedia. I don't know how much it is but it is worth it. It has everything in it that you need.
OBW usually has the octagon and the hexagon block in it, at least that is what mine has.

I'm thinking that I'll do some reading online for the 4patch, but that one seems pretty intuitive... stack up 4 of the same section of fabrics, cut squares, sew together. Other then a lot of pinning, is it more complicated than that??

That is pretty much it, the book gives step by step directions on how to match your fabric etc. and there is different square blocks as well as the fan, octagon and hexagon. There are a lot here that do the stack n wack, obw kind of stuff, they can all probably walk you through it.
