I am making mug rugs, and want to do one with a vintage handkerchief for my good friend Robin. This would be just perfect, if i can figure out how to sort of fold the handkerchief and make the little pockets from it without losing the vintage handkerchief look. Got any suggestions? Tutorial accepted with gratitude

Are you thinking of using the handkerchief as only the little pocket and the rest of the mug rug from other fabric? That's what I see from your description, if so I don't have a tut because I have never done this (so here is my advise anyway) Fold the hanky like an envelope sewing your envelope down with the top pointed part face to face with the mug rug, in other words the envelope opening on the top to stuff wth tea bag, spoon, etc.. I hope this helps

Thanx all for the ideas, and trif, I am adding the hanky to other fabric, so your suggestion just might do it, I may alter your plan just a little bit, but I think I got what you mean. I'll post a pic if it works. Thanx again
