    Default Ohh NOOO!

So I have been working diligently to finish a quilt for Christmas. I finally got the backing sewed together ready to go on the quilt frame BUT I noticed smack dab in the middle of the backing where I had sewed it together, the backing had a big defect ( like a manufacturing run/error) any suggestions? It is a flannel snow flake pattern so I was thinking maybe put a big snowflake over the error and use it as a big quilt label. Would it look tacky? It is on the back~ any help is appreciated.

Just an applique over it, or make it the quilt label. Both work.

Sounds like a appliqué snowflake is the perfect solution. I had a flaw in backing also and fussy cut a bunch of the flowers from the same top fabric and appliquéd it to the back. It added a little extra interest to the back.

If you worried about putting one snowflake in the center, add a few more scattered about and it will look planned.

Why stop at one snowflake. A blizzard of different sizes would prevent it looking like covering a mistake .

I agree. A few would look like a design decision rather than a bandaid! JMHO.
