    Default Ohio quilt shops

Can anyone tell me if there are any great quilt shops along 127 in Ohio from the Michigan State line to Greenville? Taking a trip down there this coming weekend and a stop or two would be lovely.

If you have a smart phone, there is a great app called "Quilt Shops" that will show you all of the quilt shops near you as you travel. I've never heard of or been on 127.

I live just south of Greenville Ohio. I don't shop anymore--too much fabric now & no time. There is a quilt shop in Celina Ohio. US 127 goes to Celina--it is in Mercer County--Greenville is in Darke County next county south. It is downtown Celina. Celina also has a good place to eat with a window view of lake St Mary's. The restaurant is called Pullman Bay--great pie. I don't go north much so this is all I can tell you. Hope you have a safe trip.

127 is the route where all the garage sales are in the summer clear down to Georgia.
I think that is in August. Sellers set up their stuff right along the highway!

There is a shop I'd recommend that is not on 127, but isn't too far and is definitely worth the trip. It's Threads of Tradition in Archbold, OH. According to Google Maps it's less than 15 minutes from 127 in West Unity, OH. It's located in a historic village and you can get a shopper's pass if you're only going to the shops and not the exhibits. They have a wonderful selection of all kinds of fabrics and it's a great shop. Hope this helps!

Yes, thanks for that suggestion. I have been through West Unity and it is a beautiful old town as so many in Ohio are. I will check that shop out. So now I have two to visit. Thanks!!

Oh, I meant Archbold. Several years ago there was a detour on 127 that took me through there. I am looking forward to visiting both shops mentioned. I am traveling by myself so get to do whatever I want to do.

When you're at Sauder Village, make sure to stop in to the Doughbox Bakery and get one of their frosted cookies. They are the best cookie I've ever tasted. No lie!

I get to visit two lovely quilt shops on my way to visit my wonderful aunt and uncle AND I get a good cookie? I can barely wait to get through this work day and get on the road tomorrow. Thanks for contributing to my wonderful long weekend.
