I am new to quilting as is my sister. She is about to begin a quilt for her son with OHIO STATE colors. The fabric is not OSU patterned; just scarlet, some grey, black and white. Does anyone have a fairly simple block she could use? We quilt together now and I've suggested a few but she wants some "real" input. lol

Hello and welcome from Ontario. Warm wishes is a simple pattern that uses a focus fabric.

Welcome. When I make quilts or table toppers in team colors I like to use some type of star block (very rah, rah!). A fairly easy star is Friendship Star or Sawtooth Star (you can google Quilter's Cache or internet for patterns).

Since you are both new to quilting, I would stick with a simple pattern, unless you are both really ambitious. I would think the team colors would be the most important thing.
