    Hi,
I just bought a featherweight and am looking through the manual. It show's about 40 spots that need a drop of oil everyday if you sew a lot and oil every few day's if you don't sew that much. Do you all do that? Also do you use Singer brand oil.

I wouldn't oil that often!!! There might be one or two of those 40 spots that would benefit from oil once a week if you are using the machine. The only reason I can see to oil once a day is if you are running the machine for 8 to 10 hours a day!

Once you get used to the quiet purr of your featherweight you will recognize her sound gets a little bit louder/rougher when she needs to be oiled.

A featherweight repairman told me that I only need to oil after 10 hours of sewing time.
