I too buy too many patterns. I especially have a problem resisting the patterns for smaller projects. I always think that I'll be able to get to them since they are small projects but,no, still doesn't happen.

I think I have a fascination with patterns. I see it and think of a certain material that would work and I can't help myself...so I buy it. Or its the unique design, but I like a lot of the applique quilts or the quilt that is a scene that is blended with colors to make the picture. Almost all my material is grouped with a pattern......doesn't that rationalize my buying them...Ha Ha

I have way too many patterns too. I do try to use them when I can. I go through them every so often and pull out ones that I'm no longer interested in using. I usually give those to my Guild to add to opportunity baskets at one of our meetings. I think I have gotten some from those basket too.

I don't buy many patterns anymore but I print alot off the internet. I used to buy books & magazines constantly so I have alot of them.I have a 4 drawer file cabinet & 1 1/2 drawers are nothing but quilt patterns. When I want to make something I have a pattern. Also I have Quilt Wizard & EQ6 that I design some on.

Buying a pattern is almost like making a quilt , right! I'm doing a quit field trip on Saturday with a few friends. Kind of our own shop hop and I'm sure I will buy a pattern.

OH YEAH! I even have every Appearl pattern I ever bought and some never used as well. 3 big plastic storage bins full. Big problem.

I don't have very many patterns but I have been collecting quilting BOOKS (which can be just as addictive). To indulge this passion, I usually purchase quilt books at Goodwill and Half Price Books. But I succumbed to pattern purchases recently while visiting in Montana. I found the most fabulous applique quilt patterns by McKenna Ryan. I bought 9 patterns (2 series that I plan to put together to make 2 Queen size quilts). Go on line & see them & you'll fall in love!

BTW, Sadie Mae, what is the name of the quilt that is shown when you log in? It's pretty amazing! Did you make it?

I have 2 drawers full plus a box of patterns I "plan" to do. A friend says "buying the pattern doesn't get the quilt made". No but it's sure great inspiration and one of these days....

Been there, doing that. Actually, I rarely buy a pattern but I download and print off a bunch. Thus far I have 2 3 ring notebooks full of these and more ink purchased and enough paper used to cut down a couple of trees!
