I spent the afternoon yesterday with a personal trainer (free every few months with gym membership) and then came home and did a few hours of sewing. I am a couch potato today.

I sew standing up. Not the running the machine part, but all the planning, cutting, piecing, etc, I'm standing, which is a lot. It's a lot of bending over the table, so I have to straighten up and stretch backwards every so often, or my spine rebels, gets inflamed, and I can't move the next day! Stretching is important, but never force it, esp. with cold muscles!

    Thanks for the reminder!

My hubby is my personal trainer. Good workout yesterday and today is a sore (recovery) day.

great ideas. I usually get some streches in though out the day. It makes me feel better, and help in the spring when gardening season comes around.

Just found this post and am still laughing. Wish I had found it earlier today. I sewed all day. Finished putting a D9P top together, complete with borders. It's ready to put in the quilter tomorrow as soon as I get the back put together. Does all that sewing count for exercise? Did get up about every hour and moved around though. Usually have music cranked up and march in place while ironing, etc.

You may be in hiding now, but some time or other you have lived in Texas or Oklahoma or some place like them because that is where we are always "fixin'" to do something. I love it.
