    Your quilt is beautiful! I think you canuse whatever you want for the back;however, if you do decide on the red and black I would difinately wash both first as they are two of the most notorius for bleeding and it wuldbe a shame if they bled through to your pretty top.

    I think it's fine because it's close to the oranges on the front. It's a beautiful quilt by the way! :thumbup:

    If you want to put something on the back, I would suggest a design that was offset - so that if it didn't get lined up "exactly so" - it would not be a big deal
    The quilt is breathtaking. Wish I had the time and patience to take one on. I agree with bearisgray. However, I do not care for the red fabric with that quilt. Think a gold or deep orange would be better, or maybe even a batik black or black on black.

    all the beautiful work ...... give it a great back ....a tone on tone fat back in black or matching one of the colors.....i know, the extra wide fabrics are expensive but they make a really beautiful quilt
