    I just bought the pattern myself and I am going to attempt it - the directions are really confusing for me - but found the tutorial on here and hope it will guide me. I am wishing us both luck. BTW I have a Sapphire also and a longarm. Don't know if that will help me though....

    I also have a saphire and make totes for my friends. You really need the walking foot it is well worth spending the money on the walking foot even with the thickness sensor.
    I find it helps out al great deal of the time. I had a tote I was making that with out the W/F I could not have done the thicker parts
