Hi, Have you considered the time honored tradition of tying your quilts to create the quilt sandwich ? Our grandmother's did it and their quilts are still around. Also, the temporary adhesive spray is wonderful and easy to use. You may be surprised at how easy it is to create the quilt sandwich with these two methods. Good Luck !

I am with you Tropical I love to make the tops "A Topper" but I have promised myself this year to do the rest of it batting and backing quilt it and bind it. I am pretty new to quilting so I have five or six to start with but was thinking start with smaller projects and work my way up. So that is my quilting plan for this year. Sending positive thoughts and prayers to you and your DH. All the best.

Do what you enjoy. I enjoy making tops. But I also enjoy meeting with clients, planning and then quilting their tops. Save on quilting by choosing edge to edge designs and doing your own binding. Then you can get a few of your tops finished at a time for keeping or gifting. Keep doing what you love.

I also have some unfished :tops done but unquilted. I plan to turn these into duvet covers one way or another, maybe just tying to muslin backing and then serge together with a bed sheet so they'd not fall apart when washed. Some have been around for years and it's unlikely I'll ever even try to quilt them. Or might even stitch 2 together for a reversible coverlet as they are still too pretty to throw away and could enjoy using them.

A very wise teacher once said, "when I finish a quilt top my relationship with that piece is over and I move on to the next one". (Of course, she could afford to have someone else quilt it but it's still ok to pile up the quilts until you are able to quilt them.
Prayers going up for DH AND you!
