You know..easy may just be the answer for this situation. This fall, all I could do, was knit washcloths. It's such an easy pattern and I've memorized it. The yarn is often on sale and available in all kinds of stores. (Such yummy colors, too). I could have been knitting a sweater but all I could handle were these easy little squares.
I teach and I have a particular challenge this year. Depending on how the day goes, my energy level is often shot by the end of the day.

Been there, done that. I was a special ed teacher in high school. Both DH and I sometimes wonder how I made it for as long as I did. There were many days when I all had the energy for was a game of solitaire.

I certainly do!! I had, and knew I had, a broken ankle for 30 years before DH went in to the examining room with me and looked big and mean at the doctor (who was probably #40 in the long line of folks who did not listen to me. That one had not listened previously) It was amazing to him that when he Xrayed where I said it was broken, the shreds of broken bone actually showed up. After 2 surgeries, my pain level went down remarkably, but by then I'd been pressured into an early retirement.

Quilting is SO much more fun than dealing with an unfriendly administration.
