Ienjoy other quilters purple, but mine is pink, pink, ppiiiiinnnnkkk! I wore green uniforms on a job for 14 yrs. so now I have to force myself to include greens in my quilting. I look terrible in yellow, but again put some in my quilts for accent. I'm teaching my daughter and her mentee to quilt. The 11 yr. old chose purples when we took her to Joann's so I'll let her dig thru my purples tote.

I love purples too, and don't worry about branching out for any other reason than the recipient of the quilt hates purple.

Your purple quilt is drop dead gorgeous!

What is the new way to do a quick trip around the world? Can you describe it?

I think your quilt is especially beautiful because of all the purples -- it really glows! Great job! I always go for autumnal colors, whether its quilting or decorating...

Well, it was "advertised" as a quick way, but it certainly wasn't. What we did was different, in that we made 9 patches and hooked them together, but we started off by cutting out 504 three inch squares. Not my idea of easy. The last time I made a Trip around the World, it was using the strip method. I think that could have been incorporated in this plan, but I just did what the instructor asked. I am very happy with my quilt, but I won't use this method of construction again.
