i do the final sewing of the binding by hand. most of the times, and i am enjoying hand quilting my jane on 2" boards using C clamps on the corners. that's the way my grandma used to do it, when i was small enough to crawl under the quilt frame. and i guess i was too cheap to buy anything else. i do have the leaders stapled onto the boards, to attach my quilt sandwiches to. tried using thumb tacks to begin with, and it made holes in my quilts.
and i also thought using a rotary cutter was 'the new way'. only think newer i think is MSQ co's method of cutting bigger finished blocks into smaller finished blocks.

I love to hand applique, do hand binding, and I'm just learning hand quilting. Sometimes I just need to slow down and leave my machine. I also like handwork to take to my guild. I don't like moving my machine in and out of the weather.
