I don't think it is too old, maybe from the 50s or 60s. Hard to tell.

Beautiful quilting! Looks like you don't need more practice to me as it is gorgeous quilting!

It does look like men's shirts or the pajama's of my Dad's that I cut mostly in 2.5" strips(he was disabled for many years, so lots of pajamas!).

The red, while looking older, may very well be old turkey red squares, a very stable dye many years ago. I would say the quilt is older.

I would say all old, even the red, or burgundy. Great quilt and quilting too.

I can't say for sure, but the fabric reminds me of shirts I wore back in the 60's and 70's. Remarkably, though, I have found very similar fabric in some shirts I've recently purchased. Regardless of the age of the fabrics and colors, you did a really fine job of quilting this top. The pattern is charming and really quite soothing to look at.

When I was a teen-ager, in 1963 or 1964 I made a blanket for my nephew when he was born. I crocheted blocks of different animals and sewed them to yellow fabric that looked just like this yellow. The shirts also look like they could be from that time so I'm guessing 1960's.

I think it's looks like fabric from P.J's to me.
