Very pretty quilt and story. A great looking first quilt. Your Grandmother used it and loved it. Sounds like a perfect quilt to me.

A true love story like yours beats any book and am so happy for you that it is still in your family.
The quilt looks great and I do not see anything 'wrong' with it.

You've got me crying this morning. We are so critical of our efforts as quilters and anguish over the smallest things, such as seams that don't match up perfectly and colors that didn't work out right and then we find that our loved ones who get the quilts treasure them above so many other things that are perfect. This is a must read for any piecer/quilter and especially a beginner who doesn't think their work will ever measure up to the "standard" of a perfect quilt. They don't need to be perfect, they just need to be done and gifted. Thanks so much for sharing such a heart-warming story. Ironically, what got me in tears was that the quilt was still there!

What a heartwarming story! So much joy your 'first' quilt gave your grandmother! And to know that it's still giving that joy back to you.

Oh a lovely story. And again we are our own worst critics. You have a lovely quilt and it is a great example of a quilt made in the 90's.
