It's obviously a beautiful green double Irish chain and quite lovely. You're so lucky to have one of your Mother's quilts. My Mother made "utilitarian" quilts, none of which, unfortunately have not survived. Maybe that's why I began quilting, so that I could leave behind a legacy that I was here.

That's a beautiful quilt. I'm doing the same with quilts made by my mom and not labeled. On the label I also include the name and relationship of the person it was made for.
I use the nicer quilts for bedspreads and the utility quilts I use daily to keep me warm. They are like a hug from my mom. I know what you mean about missing your mom. I miss mine so much too.
