I had kids come in for Thanksgiving so I had to put all my things away. I have a noce space in my 14 by 20 room but it also serves as a guest room and when more than one bunch comes we have to set up extra beds or air mattresses. Over the fourth we had one bed and 3 full size air mattresses in there but it is worth it to see my kids and grandkids. I can sew anytime.

You must be a speed cutter and stitcher to get that much done. I can't even come close. It has taken me 2 days to make 2 6" by 22" wall hangings and I still have do bind them. Of course I am old and can't work straight through. Besides I was getting turkey bones ready for soup tomorrow.

Oh man talk about a day...........I finally finished painting the Pink Singer and the stitch length regulator plate was a BEAR!!! But it is done and Monday it will be together and shipped so a little girl will have her a pretty to open Christmas morning!! :-D :-D :-D

But I did go to Hancocks and get the backing material and batting for the quilt because I thought I wanted to go with something different but changed my mind mid stream. I did get one of the blocks put together to see how much it will be involved and this is going to be a project!! But I should be able to work on it all day tomorrow uninterrupted so I should get a lot done on it.

And Yes, we are all waiting to see the lap quilt you are making for your wife. You sound like a very capable and caring husband.
Thank you for showing us your work, good on you.
Cheers from all of us "in waiting". Gleniveve

I'll post a few pics on here maybe........it a board members Daughters Christmas present and I really do not want to spoil the surprise. And the way it is painted it is the perfect sewing machine for an 8yo.

But it sure is pretty!!!

But I will post some photos of the quilt as I work on it. Now off to the studio..........
