I too had been told never to use canned air...however the proof is in the pudding with those pictures! Thank-you so much for confirming what I had been told!

I had also heard, and read, not to use canned air on my sewing machine. but what a visual! As they say, a picture is worth a thousand words!

    Thanks for the link!

Thanks for the pictures. I had NO IDEA. I've been using canned air on my machines and also on my computers. No one ever told me before.

I do not use canned air on my machine nor would I. I have however used it on the computer keyboard and what a waste. Not to mention you get the chemicals on your fingertips when you type and IF you happen to get them in your mouth --- yuck! So I don't use it. Besides, it is too expensive. Vacuums work better.
Thanks again for the reminder. I am sure many were not aware.

PS - I agree with BellaBoo about the housing and such. I have stripped down my Janome 6600 P and put her back together without a problem. Dealer is over 200 miles away and sometimes you do what you gotta do to get that little piece of lint out that won't come out any other way.

WOW, yuck! I've never used canned air, but these pictures are very convincing.
