Yes I read about this tip on this board as well but I've completely forgotten about it! Thanks for reminding us! I have quilting gloves but they make me so hot. I'm am so going to try this next time I free motion quilt.

I too have Machingers gloves and they don't make my hands hot. They work great for long stretches of quilting such as stitch in the ditch. I also have a Quilter's Halo by Sharon Shambers that works great for FMQ.
