    I think you could make it from any size squares and it would be lovely.

    I'd much rather work w/bigger blocks; 6" would make a nice table topper

    Go for it. I have taken many one block patterns up to 60" and used as baby quilts!. I use Quilt Pro software to figure my new sizes. Easy peasy!
