If you had a choice to buy an Embroidery machine, which one would you purchase and why?

    Brother LB-6800THRD or Brother PE700 or PE700II

These are my options for the price range I am in.
Thank you for your input :)

Sorry I can't help, but I am sure someone will let you know the good and the bad on each of those.

I would not buy the LB one - that only has a 4x4 hoop.
I would do the PE700ii. It has the usb option whereas I don't believe the regular 700 has it.

Brother has a newer model out now the 780?
You might want to check with a dealer if you have one near by.

    I have a Brother and I do like it a lot :)

Did you get the coupons from Nancy's Notions in the mail yesterday??? She has floor and classroom models up to 50% off coming up here soon. I threw it away because I can't get there. Did anyone else get that? If you did, can you give the dates on that sale?

Hello, I am not sure of the price range you are talking but, I have a Husqvarna Viking Designer Diamond. I love it. It is pricy though. I had a Pfaff 300E prior to it and it only did a 4x4. This really limits you. If you can afford it, I suggest you get the one with the biggest stitching area. Also, it is great to have the usb port to hook up your computer or laptop, that way you can use free designs downloaded from internet or purchased designs from internet or cd. Hope this may have helped a little bit. Best wishes on your fun journey. LOL in Christ, Happy Stitchin

Just thought of something else. It is better to see which one has software with it for editing designs. If possible this is a great feature. LOL, Carmen

I would like to get one also, but would choose the Janome 350E, believe it has usb, and 3 or 4 hoop sizes. It is around $1500 I think, maybe a bit more, can't remember. I bought the Janome Horizon 7700 instead. Do your research before purchasing is a must.
