    Default online fabric shops

Which online fabric shops have the best prices and quality for price? I have been shopping for fabric for a quilt for my DSIL and am frustrated. I takes so long and I'd rather be quilting or on here

Fabric.com, Fabricdepot.com and 4my3boyz.com (run sales often) are my favorites. In my experience, all 3 have fast, excellent customer service and ship fast. I ordered from Annies Attic (Clotilde) and was not thrilled with their long processing and shipping times.

I see you live in Canada? Etsy is great... lots of shops to do price comparison... I like to save my best options as favourites and then go back and compare the shipping rates.

In Canada, look at www.fishskinfabric.com . Their customer service is wonderful and they carry lots of quality fabric. They also cap shipping within Canada at $10. www.sew-sisters.com has reasonable shipping rates and recently had a free shipping within Canada promotion.

In the U.S., www.hawthornethreads.com has a huge selection of modern prints. www.fabricdepot.com also has a big selection or www.fabric.com does, too. I'm sure there are many more. These are the ones I know best. Good luck!

For the biggest selection and prices it Thousands of Bolts. Not the newest runs of fabric but lots of top names for very very reasonable. You can spend days looking at the quanties of fabrics. Do use their seach function or you can get lost in the volume.
For newer fabrics I like Favorite Fabrics ( a board member).

I give this response at least twice a month:

    Go to http://www.quiltshops.com

They are a network that contains over 250 quilt shops. You can type in what you are looking for; and comparison shop. Several stores may carry the same fabric, but prices and quantities will vary. I have ordered from a multitude of the shops that are part of the network, and there has never been a problem.

    I also recommend Fabric.com

Many if our members can also vouch for Connecting Threads.

If I buy on line it is from Equilter.com. Otherwise I will once in awhile just buy from Ebay. Can't stand any of the other online stores.

Connecting Threads....most of their fabrics are $5.96/yard and I love the quality whether in collections or what is on clearance....the thread is wonderful, matched to the fabrics, and at a great price.....they carry Hobbs batting and is regularly on sale at 30% off......customer service is great.....I usually am sending an order in once a month, adding up to $50 so as to get free shipping.....yup, addicted to connectingthreads.com.....;0
