Ooooh! I have been admiring some of the "fan" quilts on these pages and I can see these fabrics in one of those!
What a nice MIL you have!!

Wow! I have bought quite a few Japanese designs for machine embroidery (I buy designs that I envision in future quilts!); your fabric would be perfect to go with my machine embroidery blocks. I especially like the middle one. (SIGH!)

From the look of those beautiful fabrics, I think it would be sacrilege to put scissors or rotary cutter to them!

I would use them in as large pieces as I could, with something subtle, like marbles, to show them off. Ooo - isn't fabric delicious!!

You could try this Shadowbox pattern. I got mine at a LQS but it's from Mountainpeek Creations in CO, 888-768-5922. 68"x81" uses 7 FQ's so you could add a couple more.

Go to Konabay.com. THey have lots of free patterns that
would work well with those fabrics.

How about an Aussie Quilt. It showcases the fabric nicely. Or a Fan quilt.
