explain to him, you are like a painter, the fabric is your palette and you need them to be inspired. It worked with mine. I am divorced now. but it had nothing to do with quilting. Now I just worry about spending to much and not being able to make my bills.

Connecting threads is my favorite online store. Their pre cuts are all so reasonable.

I know how you feel. I order fabric and have it sent to the office so DH doesn't know how much I actually purchase, but I AM downstairs sewing and quilting a lot :-) :-) :-)

My Fed Ex guy must be looking out for me, or he's married to a quilter, or maybe he likes to quilt himself because he has started leaving my packages on the back porch instead of the front porch. We only use the back door on weekends usually. I check my emails and that little tracking link. It's a good thing I internet through my phone. I know exactly when my package is delivered and when to go check the back door.
Mine is a fly fisherman....and while I have quilts and other sewn items to show (and keep us warm) for what I do, he does catch and release so it doesn't even feed us....LOL

I really enjoyed reading this thread and I'm not sure why. It made me think of all kinds of funny things. Quilt Guilds pooling money for an extra large Guild P.O. Box for secret fabric shipments. Asking the on-line store to wrap the shipment so that it looked like something any nosy DH would have no questions about... My mind just drifted down a funny path.
