The hardest thing for me to find is a good clear green with enough white to make the color pop. I don't know why I want to find it, since I don't much like green, but if I ever find the green I want, I will buy the whole bolt.

I fall in love with a sample quilt in a store--and I buy the exact colors in it because I know I can't come up with better--that is lack of imagination, true, but I love it just as much as if I had picked the colors.

My wife and I like blues, teals, greens, and purples. Mostly anything bright will catch our eyes (we must be part crow). We also love highly graphic, bright prints like Michael Miller puts out. I'm generally not a fan of earth tones.
I hope you have great success with your shop; keep us posted.

Several bolts of backing fabric, our LQS keeps a few but they run out quick. She also has a long arm machine set up in a separate room that your can use at $25/hr. Have not tried it yet but I think it's a cool idea.
