The burgundy print in my Stitch&Fold wreath is a vintage calico that I found at a flea market. It went really well with the two other contemporary fabrics.

I am also one who makes a lot of scrappy quilts so calicos play a large role along with any other fabrics I have handy. The more styles of print the more interesting the quilt I believe.
