I could not put one together in less than two hours..
Say it took a yard of fabric for all three of them (I'm guesstimating - but so many of these things take a LOT more fabric that one would guess - think Barbie doll clothes!) at $12.00/yard (she said LQS fabrics) - plus trims, thread, batting, and equipment.
Many home-crafted items are money losers if one actually adds up what goes into them.

They are as cute as can be, but I would never buy them at any price for use as a pot holder becauuse I wouldn't want to mess them up. I understand your dilemma, but don't believe they will sell for $25. froggyintexas

I used to make rag dolls and other country-ish stuff to sell in a booth at the local craft show. If I had added up my actual hours and figured them at minimum wage there was no way I could price the items competitively. Unfortunately, when it comes to these kind of things, our time is not worth minimum wage. When I did it I would add up the materials cost (not counting the pattern, or taking a fraction of the pattern-maybe 10%) and either take 1.5x or 2x that and charge about that amount.
