I personally prefer the second one -- more individual, less traditional.

I think I have made a decision...partly because I don't have enough fabric to do #1 and also it would end up wider than it is long. So based on that decision...I have an other idea...would it look better with the baseball fabric (like in the picture now) or if I used black just around the photos.

Well... the black around the photos makes them show up much better.
**to confuse the matter a bit more... have you tried placing the photos at the top and bottom, leaving the t-shirt cutouts in the middle?

I prefer the 2nd layout and much prefer the black around the photos. Photos aren't 'lost' that way and really show up.

Both designs look very good, if I had to choose it would be the second one.

Interesting comments because I think the second layout better showcases the baseball cards and go Rays!!!!!!!! I like the black around the photos. If it were me I'd put a thin baseball fabric sashing vertically on both sides of the black so the baseball fabric would border the t shirt blocks on all sides. Just MHO.

I like the second one. It seems to showcase the pictures better. I like the pictures being if not the star, at least the first string player....:')...........
