Well, since being unable to sew because of bad back, I've squared up the blocks I've finished for the next gc's baby quilt. Most are 1/2" too small so I've added to them to bring them out to right size. But it changes the pattern I think. Not sure if I should finish the quilt or start over. The block to the right are extras to be switched in if you think necessary. DD (auntie-to-be) and I sorta like this arrangement. Pattern is called "Modern Mix".
I have to make more small blocks. What colours should I bring out more?
The baby's room is brown/neutral AND I need to get the quilt finished!
By the way the colours are based on DD's/mommy-to-be's wedding bouquet!

With the sentimental value, I would press on.
Looks like you could add a little more white to the margins?
Then I would applique a giant bunny in one corner!

i certainly don't think you need to start over- your blocks are lovely- and colorful- which babies love- continue on...be adventurous- there is nothing wrong with stepping outside someone elses pattern- and making it your own!

I would go with the blues green and purples. it will help make the oranges and pinky reds stand out more like a flower in the middle of a bouquet.

I love what you have so far and this pattern looks very forgiving in that some blocks had to be added to or cut down. I say press on.

Keep going. Looks good. I like the extra special touch you've added to make it your special design.
