I think all but #5 work. I'd eliminate it only because of the metallic threads. Of the others, I, perhaps, like #4 best, think #2 is probably the safest, and really like #3 but not sure it goes as well with the other fabrics.

Big help, huh? Sorry! These are lovely fabrics and I know you'll make the right choice and a beautiful quilt!

Above is a link to the pattern. I don't think I would put #3 in the center. #2 fades too much into the background, and I wouldn't want to introduce the metallic in only one fabric, so I vote for #4. However here's another idea. If you have enough of the original fabric (#1) to use it in the center tumbler blocks, you could use #4 in the outer blocks that call for #1, and that would be a valid design choice.
I think dunster has the perfect solution! Use the original in the center and #4 in the outer blocks!

Sometimes when you picture it a certain way, nothing else will do. I did the same thing, ended up ordering fabric from New Zealand for $23 per meter when I found the perfect background fabric. In my case the exchange rate is favorable with $1 US about $1.45 NZ, but add the exchange fee that the bank takes and international shipping and it still really expensive! I've only done it a few times!

nme1974--I bought the kit but I want to change the design so that it is not off centered and also want to use a 4.5 inch tumbler instead of the 6 inch one in the pattern. There is just enough of the creme fabric to do it their way. That is why I needed more.
