Love my Ott lights. I have a floor model over my chair to hand sew and read, and another table lamp over my machine. I have a couple more in my closet in case I need them. Couldn't live without my floor model!

I have 2 Ott lights I got at a terrific price at JoAnn's Friday after Thanksgiving. Floor model's base is heavy now and will not tip over. I love the light.

Check out Joann's online. The last two I bought were 50% off (I waited for a sale). I have two floor models and a tabletop model which is great for taking to retreats. My husband uses one off the floor ones for a reading light.

Love my Ott lites & I have several. My DH even claimed one of them (floor model) to put beside his lazy boy chair, for reading. If you do look at other lamps, make sure they are not the ones that get HOT while in use. That can make a huge difference.

I have four Ott lights and I one cheap imitation. The imitation is permanently packed away. i have never seen anything that matches the clear color spectrum of their light. Yes, they are a little expensive but I have gotten my bulbs at JAF or on eBay.

I LOVE my Ott light. I had a tabletop model for years. I broke the bulb last week and used another bright lamp for 2 weeks. It was a lamp we had here. It just wasn't the same. I went out and bought the Ott light I had been wanting. I used the sale price and my teacher discount. I got the one that stands on the floor with the magnifying glass attached. It is on an arm. I love love it. I just saw here on the board the other day to watch out where you have the magnifying glass focused when you quit sewing. SHe said the sun was coming in the window thru her magnifying glass and almost caught her chair on fire.

I like my Ott light for over my cutting table. I liked my desk lamp with a halogen light better but something was wrong with it because the lightbulb burned out frequently. My husband got an ott at a thrift store with the magnifier for $25. He kept taking mine when he was working on his radio airplane control kits. He likes it alot.

I've had two tabletop ones for several years. I love them! I use them every day in my sewing room. I also have a small flip-open one (size of a cell phone?). They are worth the $$. I buy them on sale.

Unlike the majority of other people, I am not a fan of Ott lights. I have had 2 floor models and neither lasted even a year. I purchased them at JoAnn's with 50% coupons but they were still expensive. I think there are just as good lights out there for a more reasonable price.

Love mine. I have 2 and use them a lot. I have only replaced one bulb after years of use.
