    I'd go with light for the center too if you use dark for the houses; if you do light colored in the houses then dark centers. The ones on the left the centers blend in too much with the houses. Cute block.

    In my humble opinion, having the darker centers gives the illusion of a crooked dreidel. The light centers makes them look like houses, but that is just me.

    I agree with Kathy. You could switch a couple around so you have an hourglass in the center, and add a light strip at the bottom of the two houses with the dark areas. They could look like stoops on the houses.

    I like the light colored fabric best. I think the dark takes away from the houses.

    I agree about the light centers, but wondered whether lights in shades of green, to make a grass-like base for the houses?
