I like the scrappy purple sashing just as you've done it. The grands are going to love these!

Could the sashing be all one of the purple fabrics rather than multiple? I find the different ones very distracting from your lovely squares.

My opinion is that the last purple sashing, bottom of last block, or the sashing above it would bring out the purple more than scrappy sashing. The blocks are beautiful. I'm a big fan of purple too.

Thumbs up opinions requested, purple batik quilt borders

The purple borders "frame" the blocs - the lighter sashing makes the designs look like they are floating in air. go for the purple!

Love your blocks. I'd keep it simple to let those blocks shine!

I vote for the cream inside the purple, and perhaps a bit narrower purple.

Thanks for the advice in the pm, of only using 1 fabric for the sashing. What I realized is that using a print material is just too busy, and does distract from the blocks. So now I am laying it out on some of the solid purples that I have. We will see, and I will be back with more pics in time. Thanks to everyone for the suggestions. It really made me think out the process.

First off. Love your blocks. I like the idea of sashing with the background fabric first & the a thin sashing of purple around that. I think that would make your blocks pop. If you are making two, then do each one different. No matter what you decide, they are going to be fantastic quilts.
