    Thanks for the great information. My DH and I both get SAD every winter. We try to just get through it. We will be trying these lights as soon as we get to Lowes. I also have sensitivity to light so I will be careful.

    Here is a link to some of these bulbs that is supposedly cheaper than normal. I haven't done much investigation yet, but thought I'd share if anyone is interested. The bulb prices are at the bottom of the page.

    I use Revel Light bulbs in my ceiling fan lights and it really helps alot. I think they are supposed to be *daylight* bulbs.

    I have a floor model and use it for hand quilting, and love the light, but, after a while my eyeballs dry out! I try and remember to blink, but that isn't enough. So I can't use it for long periods of time. bummer. I also have several SAD lamps but since I retired don't need them as much.
