Just checked my facebok page and the woman got back to me. She didn't buy an ott lite. It has a little like door on hers that you can open if you need it. I think I am taking mine back - it will eat batteries like candy I bet! Hers also magnifies 4X. so it definitely was not the one I bought :cry: I hope they will take it back - never opened except to look at instructions and i do have a receipt. I used a gift card but that shouldn't matter, right? Darn I may just have to buy more fabric :lol:

Thanks for letting me know! I thought I would burn through too many batteries. I don't think you will have any problems returning to Joann's. I returned something before (don't remember what right now) and was concerned about their policy but I didn't have any problems at all.
