I'm not a big Walmart shopper myself and let's face it, they don't have quilt shop quality fabric anyway. It is better than before but still much thinner.

I don't shop there because of the horrible customer service and rude cashiers and help. I don't find the same attitude in the South where my daughter lives...still very polite and helpful there. What happened to them singing those pep songs in the morning and having people in the aisles to help you find something? They must have forgotten the words!!!

I like WalMart. I save money shopping there. A lot of money. I smile the whole time I'm in the check out line. I'm disappointed about the no fabric but not enough to pay more somewhere else for toilet paper.

Our Walmart just closed their fabric dept. this year so I don't see fabric coming our way for a while. I'll tell you I don't shop there as often.

i had read where all the new "from the ground ups" would have a fabric department, well they just opened the new Sams's and Wally world and they lied. they only have one little isle of crafts. made me so mad. so ill be going back to Joann's since that is the only other fabric shop left in this town. LQS is now closed. i hate this town

I think that is a wise choice for them to get back into fabric. In the local Walmart here, they added more furniture, dollar section, but once you buy a small piece of furniture are you going to buy another. What they did not figure was us quilters (speaking for myself) can shop and buy every time we are in the store. Or a lot of the time. How many tables are we going to buy? One if they were lucky. I do think Walmart filled an area in quilting.

Our Walmart was the same earlier this year, Sue, so don't be discouraged. They took out the fabric department in March. It's now full of fabric, so there IS hope!!
