Oval Table toppers

I'm looking to make an oval table topper.
Can you show me some pictures of ones you've made for some ideas. thanks.

I haven't seen an oval one but one with rounded ends if that will work. It used a large Dresden Plate cut in half for the two ends with a rectangle of focus fabric between them.

I've made oval placemats before, which I gave to my daughter. But I never had a pattern. I think you can make an oval runner just by rounding the ends like Tartan suggests. Let me know if that works for you &, if not, I will look for a pattern amongst my many books & magazines.
