Did she offer any classes? I had to take them when I got my first computerized sewing machine, I was scared to death of mine. Now, I LOVE IT!!
Good luck, you can master it!!

Will the shop give you some classes on it? Our local Bernina shop offers free classes with purchase of machine.

Just about everything is hard the first time. I had to sit and read my instruction book a page at a time and do what it says. It will get easier as you go along. Sounds like you have a wonderful husband. Good luck with learning to conquer this machine.

I hate the "I don't deserve this" guilt. I've had it before too. I hope you enjoy your first lesson.

Make sure to take classes. I got a Baby Lock Espire and got 5 classes with purchase. They took away that "overwhelmed" feeling and "Quilla" and I are best friends at this time.

As others have said, hopefully you'll be able to take some lessons from your dealer. New machines can be very overwhelming at first but I bet you'll really love it after you've used it for awhile.

You can join the Yahoo group for Ellisimo owners. I've found these groups to be quite helpful.

Well I took my first class on the new machine and I am still overwhelmed but not quite as much. At least I can turn on the machine now. Where I bought the machine you can take classes for a year for free if you bought your machine or software there, so I intend to take them up on that. Thank you all for the encouragement.
