I've had success tossing mine in the dryer, with or without a damp towel.

I tried this one time. Woke up to find my big cat had crawled up there to sleep and fell through leaving a cat sized hole I had to repair. Lol!

I don't bother to get the fold marks out. I just smooth it out as best I can by hand when I'm making my quilt sandwich. Never had a problem doing it that way with either cotton or poly.

My dryer has an "unwrinkle" cycle. It sprays a bit of water into the drum while drying. I use it on my batts all the time. Before I had the nice dryer, I just added a couple of wer wash rags to the dryer.
