My friend Lynn and I have been trying to put togther a trip to Paducah for the last 4 years. Well we did it, we've committed to two days during the quilt show! I can hardly wait. We're a bit late in finding a room so we're 40 miles out, but that's only about 45 minutes. So ok ladies, those that have been there tell me things I'll need to know. We're driving, so about parking, food stops, tips and tricks. Good shoes of course... what else? Thanks and woo woo!

I almost forgot... can I take my camera~

    Congratulations

comfortable shoes, big big bag to carry your goodies, camera, small notebook to mark down if you want to remember what booth something was in so you can go back and get it if you decide later on, also pick up business cards,
    $$$$$$$$$$$

I haven't been there but I have been to other quilt shows, I always carry a bottle of water in my carry bag as it seems I get so thirsty and take snacks

Always make a stop and buy strawberry shortcake from the Boy Scouts. It is yummy and a must.

That about does it. Take your camera but be careful as you can't take pics of all the quilts without permission and then are not allowed to post pics.

Some shows provide big tote bags, but take one anyway.

Careful of the weight of the purse you take. Carrying a big heavy purse, tote bag - filling it with goodies- a camera and walking a lot can get to your back and legs.

What days will you be there?

We will be there Fri and Sat.

I think it would be fun to all get together for lunch, breakfast or wine time. We are anxious to go, also. We will be camping tho. I can hardly wait-so reading about the show is my fun for right now. ha

There are shuttle buses (free) that take you around to the different quilting sites of interest. You do not have to worry about parking.
