I would go. Get an audio book or some great music to play on your drive and the time will fly by. I would never pass up a chance to do Quilt in a Day on a great machine! And all that lovely fabric!!!

How do you feel about the drive? Are you comfortable on the highway? That's the only consideration I have. Leave very early in the morning so you won't be traveling after dark and you should be fine. All those things you need to do at home will be there when you get back. So go and enjoy. No cooking, no cleaning, just relaxing. The Quilt museum is worth the trip.

Plan to send almost a whole day at Hancock's, it is mind boggling. We have never made it to Eleanor Burns shop because we stay to long at Hancock's and have to head back. One of these years we will have to start at her shop.
I think there is only one or two other shops in Paducah, so you will be safe if you survive Hancock's.

You go girl, because you may never get another opportunity. So many times trips have come up, especially trips home to my family, and I found an excuse not to go, not enough money, DH doesn't want me to spend the money - yadda, yadda, yadda. Now we're on Social Security, we're together 24/7 and because of arthritis and other health issues, I probably will never make the trip again. Go, otherwise you will kick yourself in the butt for not going. What better time to go when the hotel is being paid for and don't miss such a great opportunity.

GO GO GO. THE FIRST DAY HIT ALL THE QUILT SHOPS, BUT DON'T BUY ANYTHING. MAKE A LIST OF EACH STORE AND WHAT YOU WOULD LIKE TO BUY, GO BACK TO THE MOTEL AND SLEEP ON IT, IF YOU CAN'T GO TO SLEEP BECAUSE YOU ARE DESIGNING QUILTS OF YOUR DREAMS WITH SOMETHING YOU SAW, GO BACK AT THE END OF YOUR VISIT AND BUY IT.
