Across the street from the Museum is a resturant called Whalers that has very good food. They have a homemade poppy seed salad dressing that I love. I wish they would bottle it. Whole riverfront area is great. Hancocks of course is a must and Quilt in a Day is not far from museum. Have a great time.

Whaler's is good, and they have really good mixed drinks. They had one called Quilter's Punch during the big show. it was soooo tasty!

    Take me with you!!!
I want to go so bad!
We went out to eat on tueaday and just happened to arrive just as a tour bus was unloading, wellhad to stand in line.
Hubby asked where they were from and they were all from Kentucky so of course the conversation turned to Paducah!
they had went the year before and the men in the group said that they even enjoyed it that this wasn't just a womens trip!

The cotton fabric at Quilt in a Day (downtown) is around $4 per yard - did see some flannel or fleece that was higher. Fabulous selection. You HAVE to go to Hancocks of Paducah - just to see it - to believe it. I ONLY bought batiks at Hancocks so don't know how much their regular quilting material was - but the batiks were $10.00 per yard
