What you could do is break the foundation into 2 parts - MA in one, and the L in the other.
This is the reality of PP and why you often see multiple foundations making up one image. It's just the nature of the technique.
The trick is to recognize when you might be piecing yourself into a hole. ;-)
And that just comes with practice. You'll soon be able to recognize it as well.
So, ifyou want the bridge, here's how I'd do it.
You start with the 3 pieces of the #9 section, and then work to your right and left.
You see how each successive piece would cover the exposed edge of the prior piece? That's how pp has to work (99.9% of the time).
The L is a separate piece.
Remember to add the 1/4 in fabric for the seam allowance on all sides of the foundations.
When they're both done, you join them together, and then put your top and bottom border on.
I have to say, I kinda like the abstract-y-ness ;-) of your original logo.

MTS, thanks for your help.
I'll stick to the original but borrow your important technique to make the "L" workable.
I'm so looking forward to doing it and showing you the results.
But, have been busy working on my winter Soccer Group photos - putting them into presentation folders tonight and delivering them Wednesday. Then FINISHED for a few weeks.
Then I'll be really getting to know my new interest in quilting!
God Bless you MTS and the rest of this helpful forum.

My first paper piecing - monogram block.
An example of what I want to stitch onto the back of each of my projects.
Not perfect - but I'm pleased. Poor choice of colours but I was using scrappy stuff.
This took me 3 hours - wow! I guess that was a long time for such a simple block.

My first star (one of Carol Doak's 50 Fabulous) took HOURS to complete, accompanied by many #($#&$ outbursts.
But now I LOVE the technique.
I think your logo looks fabulous. Exactly like your original drawing - totally unique.
It will get easier, and it will go faster.
Congratulations!!

You need to split #2 into two pieces as you can't piece a shape like that.
So it would be 1, 2A, 2B.
Just draw a line splitting that alcove off.
And the current 3-11 positions need to be reversed.
After you do the 1/2 section, then you'll have a straight line to add the next piece to the left (currently 11 but should be 3).
There really isn't a #12 like you have as it would already be pieced.
The last strip on the right can be added anytime after the 1/2A piece is sewn.

I'd really like to do it in denim but wonder whether the tips of the "A" are too thin for such a thick fabric?
I wonder what you think?
I used scraps from my stash to make this but found when pressing the yellow and red were a blend and started being affected by the heat of the iron.
On another note, I've decided not to use steam anymore - I think it distorts the prepared blocks.
