I am doing Sue Garman's BOM from 2009 for the Quilt Show...Stars for a New Day..she gives 3 ways to do the flying geese...one is with paper piecing and I found it too much of a pain, to press after each piece etc..then she called the second method the "Bikini" method or the bra and panty method..basically it is the one where you take one square that is 1 1/4 inch bigger than finished width, and you take 2 smaller squares 7/8 bigger than finished height...draw a diagonal line through the small pieces, cut off 3/8" off the tip of one corner...set them on top of the bigger square on opposite corners, with cut off diagonals in centre...sew through the diagonals, cut in half, press open the sky pieces, add another small square to each piece on the opposite side, sew, and cut in halp again..you have 4 flying geese now...I know this probably makes no sense at all as I am writing fast but let me know if anyonw wants more info..they come out great..and my smaller pieces instead of making them 7/8' bigger i made them once inch and I am glad i did as it gave me some wiggle room to square up..

So the "bikini" is same as what I posted also known as "no waste method".
I think it's the fastest and most accurate method for FG.

That's it...If you turn her picture in the tute it looks like a bikini, or Sue Garman also refers to it as a bra and panty...thanks for your help....I like when you don't waste ANY fabric...
