Paper piecing and quilt basting spray?

I don't use any adhesive at all- I just hold it in place. That probably isn't correct but it works for me. I have used a plain old glue stick, and it works very well, but holding the fabric in place is just easier for me.

Elmer's School Glue is not a glue, it's a thick starch. It will dissolve in water. Fabric stuck to paper or to fabric will pull apart easy, even after heat set. I have diluted it with water and used it in a spray bottle for extra heavy starch. Great for pleats in clothing.

thanks so much for letting me know about this. i'm going to have to give it a try.
i work with very long curving pieces in my quilts and i'm always looking for ways to stiffen the pieces so they're easier to work with.
i learn new stuff here every day.
