    Hi

I am new to all this so my quilt laguage is limited

But I was told I could use a paper that rolls out , has a pattern on it and you pin it to your borders and quilt over it then tear it off? I checked JoAnns and they looked at me like I have 3 heads. Any one know where I can get it and what it is called?

    Thanks for the help

    http://www.ericas.com/quilting/tools/quiltdesign.htm

They don't have the name listed , but is this what you are looking for ? Its about the 5th item down. Sticks to the fabric and then you just sew over it. In the store they have more designs but I couldn't find them quickly on the site. Good Luck

    I get mine from www.patternman.com
They are continous quilting lines, I have used mine and thought that they worked great. These are pinned on, they aren't sticky, for some reason if I use sticky stuff my computer gets huffy and starts skipping so these work good for me. Lots of pattern choices also.

Thanks Sharon, that is what I am looking for. Does the adhesive get sticky stuff on your needles causing it to stick?

I can't say how they work, I have never used them, but am curious about them. Maybe someone else can help us , and let us know how well they work.

HI, I have used these on the border of a quilt and the sticky stuff is just on the edge of the paper so you needle never touches it. Worked great for me. but then again it is expensive because 1 roll was not enough for the entire quilt. At least the size I made. good luck Marge
