I was born in Bogata Texas, and my papa use to take me with him to Paris for Farmer's Market days. I remember that we had hot tamales from a pushcart, and later had fresh figs for a snack. He was a real good papa. He died when I was 5 yrs old...

Brenda, that is such an awesome Album quilt. I collect them, and album blocks. They make me so happy looking at the old-fashioned names, etc and wondering who the people were.
I hope you find some of the info you want!!
And I'm sorry you lost your Papa so young :(

Does anybody out there know what this block design is called?

I have had this quilt top for many years, and bought it at an antique store in Paris, Texas..... from a dealer. I'm hoping that somebody will recognize the names on it..
It is handpieced and put together by machine.
These are the names embroidered on the blocks. My spelling might not be accurate, as some are hard to read.
