Pat Sloan's Fall Frolic #2
I really like this pattern but I need it to be 36 x 56. Do any of you very smart people know how to downsize the block so the quilt will be 36 instead of 48. Thanks for any help you can give me.

If it is 12” finished blocks set 4 blocks across by 4 blocks down, then you can make a 36” by 36” quilt in two ways.
First, make only 9 blocks and set them 3 by 3.
Asa second different option, make each block 9”. The original block looks like a 6 x 6 grid, with each unit finishing at 2”. To make the same block finish at 9”, you need to make each finished unit 9/12ths of 2”, which conveniently is 1.5”. Make sure to add the seam allowance to each unit before cutting. For the 4 patches, cut each square 2” (1.5” plus 1/2” seam allowance). For half square triangles that will finish at 3”, use your favorite method to cut, mark and sew.
