Question (patriotic) Eagle Applique Quilt--looking for pattern

I saw a quilt on Pinterest which lead me here. I've reached out to 'Delta' and 'Mary quilting' via personal messages, but with no response yet. Can anyone help me find a pattern for this quilt from a few years ago? I'd like to make a Quilt of Valor in memory of my mom, who, like this quilt was pretty unique.
thanks for any help you can provide!

Is this the kind of quilt pattern you can use: https://www.craftster.org/forum/inde...topic=361233.0

Hi and welcome to the board. Based on your post I found the quilt by Mary Quilting here:

    american eagle

She references VMQuilts so I found her post:
    american eagle

I then found Delta's post. Eagle Wall Quilt 2013

Based on the description given in the two posts and going back to the original by VMQuilts, it sounds like this is an original pattern based on a leather working pattern. I think VMquilts and Mary quilting drafted the applique design themselves. It appears Mary quilting then sold her pattern to Delta.

VM and Delta have not been active on the board for years so a response to a PM might not be likely. Mary quilting last posted in March of this year. Your best bet is to either find the original leather work pattern or print out a picture of one of the quilts and enlarge it and make your own pattern.

Edited to add, apparently Mary quilting found it as a free clip art and she made the pattern from that.

Here is a beautiful quilt similar to the one you are looking for, but it has the template and video.

    http://land.missouriquiltco.com/coming-home/

If this doesn't work go to Missouri Star tutorials, it is by Man Sewing called Coming Home. You can watch it there or on You tube.

You can buy the pattern here; https://www.missouriquiltco.com/shop...-quilt-pattern

Otherwise I would print the other eagle and trace it then enlarge it to whatever size you want. Some times I just trace it on the computer than enlarge it when I copy it.

Good luck, they are both beautiful quilts

Reach out to vmquilts. She drew the eagle based on a piece of leather work a patient was doing. She does not have a full size pattern but may have a picture on her computer you can print and have it enlarged.

Fons and Porter published an appliqued eagle pattern in one of their magazines - not sure what issue and web site is not very helpful. However the pattern is available on ebay for $2.49 with free shipping. It was shown as an Eagle Scout quilt but nothing except the eagle makes it look like it's for a boy scout. Hope this helps.
